The following article is a continuation of a previouspaper, about maintaining healthy gums.

3. Brush your teeth for two minutes at least twice a day. More ideal if you always brush your teeth after eating.

Hold the brush at an angle of 45 degrees from the gum line. Clean all surfaces of the teeth gently, then brush to the palate and tongue.

4. Use dental floss to clean between the teeth. Hold the floss between the front and back teeth to resemble the letter 'C'.


5. Rinse the mouth with an antiseptic mouth rinse for 30 seconds to remove food residue and plaque.
